MORE ABOUT APPOINTMENTS

ARRIVING AT THE SUPERCLINIC
Please report to Reception when you arrive. If you think that you or your child may have an infectious problem, or if you are too ill or distressed to sit in the waiting room, please advise the receptionist.

KEEPING TO TIME
Nobody likes to be kept waiting and we try to adhere to the appointment schedule as much as possible. Due to the unpredictable nature of general practice, GPs sometimes run behind time.

You can help to keep on time by having one appointment for each person who needs to be seen by the Doctor and also advising us if you feel you need more time. A second appointment may be required if you have more than one problem.

Please phone for a longer consultation for things like:
  • Complex medical conditions
  • Procedural and Skin Check Appointments
  • Medical Examinations
  • Insurance medicals
  • Mental Health consultations
  • Multiple problems and multiple family members
Just discuss what you need with receptionist if you are not sure.

DELAYS
It is important for us to be on time for patients. We realise that you often have other obligations so encourage you to ask the receptionist when you arrive what your waiting time is estimated to be. If the Doctor is running late, it is probably the result of an emergency and we appreciate your patience. Reception staff will endeavour to ring you and advise you if there is going to be an exceptionally long delay in seeing your doctor.

LATE ARRIVALS
Arriving late for your appointment may delay other appointments. We would appreciate a phone call advising us. We can check to see if your doctor will be available to see you or if you will need to reschedule.
Please don't be offended if the doctor re-schedules your appointment for a later date.

NON ATTENDANCE
If you are unable to keep your appointment, we would appreciate a phone call to cancel or reschedule as there will be other patients who need this appointment time.
